Light Touch for Success

Light Touch is a six-month intervention program for children ages two to five who demonstrate developmental vulnerabilities in one or more domains of development. Light Touch follows a family intervention model that works in the homes of families with parents and children to help increase skills and remove barriers to success. The Light Touch staff includes Family Coaches who are Bachelor’s Level developmental specialists. Activities are chosen from the Parents As Teachers, First Touch Kinesthetic Story Telling, and It Takes Two to Talk curricula and are individually determined based on the needs of each child. The Light Touch Program is being implemented in the south portion of Palm Beach County and is sponsored by a grant from the Children Services Council of Palm Beach County.
